So none of the supra or cilca had upper arms? Correct. I've had 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen Celicas and they were all strut cars. Only a-arm Toyota car that I've had was a 69 Corona. Ok thanks now I just need to figure out if I need to put upper arms on or leave it alone what is your experience how do the front ends hold up

Struts were a little on the soft side. Never broke one or tore one out, but bent a couple pretty good.

Ran the stock IRS. I do have another 2nd gen Supra (83) sitting here. Very much looking forward to building it by my current standards.

Will be getting an 86 Cressida, so is it worth swapping to a solid rear axle or just run it with the independent rear?

I'd put a yota 8 inch under it. Stock 30 spline with factory 4.88s is what I run under my rwd compacts. Stronger then a 9 inch an narrowwe by few inchs. The 90s models are 3 inch wider then the 80s. Also are a bolt in axle. The 2nd are 5 lug an 4wd are 6 lug depending your rules.

How hard is it to put a 4.3 into a 76 corona wagon? Is it pretty tight?

How hard is it to put a 4.3 into a 76 corona wagon? Is it pretty tight? Rear sump oil pan makes it difficult due to location of steering parts. Had to modify steering stuff on 76 Celica to fit a rear sump 2.3...do believe a 4x4 4.3 pan has a narrower sump. No idea about width. Wouldn't have been an issue in the Celica but that is a wider car.

C4 have you ever stuffed a 2.3 5 speed in a Corolla wagon? I think the Coronas were wider.
