just dont use the ford bumper had it on 75 ltd stock car and it turned the bumper into a U shape... :S

the front bumper holds up well if you pull the skin, weld the seams, and weld the skin back on.

how hard is it to put a chevy 350 in one of these cars nd was wondering if neone had pics of how close they sit in the frame i was told becareful bc of fuel pump

I cut a notch out of the frame on mine to clear fuel pump take the piece you cut out flip it and weld it back inthen weld a couple of pieces in the holes at the ends.

I got one with a little more rot on the rear frame than usual next to where the bumper brackets use to exist. My question is has anyone tried shortening the frame and mount a bumper for example half way in on the trunk pan. I think there was once a picture of a metric gm wagon that had a similar thing done to it on one of the wecrash sites.

im building a 79 lincoln town car, i am allowed to swap rearends and weld bumpers and mounts solid. running sbc/turbo 400 power plant, any and all tips or tricks will be very helpfull.

Never did any of that stuff. But take a look at the Crown Vic 101 thread. You should find all the answers you're asking. Except for a few things, they are the same car.

No, they aren't the same as a Vic in 79.
80 was the first year for the newstyle lincolns.
You'll wanna find the 70s lincoln/ford thread.

if its a 73 channel car id leave it sit for a full weld just because I wouldnt run a channel car rear in a full weld/.............. if its a 74 Id jump on it. Read up on the 74-78 ltd thread and PM me if you need any more help..... If you ave a set of rules to post on the ltd thread we can help you out more

ya i looked it over good. i got a pointy off a Catalina looks like 74 elCamino ran one on a merc before held up great .
