Holy sh!t....! You are kidding there.... No wonder you have 8 inch c channel along the whole car on both sides that derby nutty!!! Big eye opener, when you hear tires screeching shits gonna get tore up for sure. What did that show pay to win? how many heats? Cheated frame mandatory there forsure lol. If they didn't scope you I'd go back with some 3/8 steel hidden inside the bend zones. Last thing I'll say is wow, that's demolition derby at its highest level of destruction.

no cheating, i promote the show and tech it, we only have one heat for 1500 and the main is 2000, we have other events too like metric chain and go for 1000 and truck football and a powder puff.

Ahh, I'm a dumbass.... Well done in that case, bada$$ show! and I personally prefer good inspection and a fair competition that just doesn't always happen ha. That 338 car sure was a tough one. Suspected it was cheated with seeing how all the other cars nosed kinda quick... Thanks for sharing that video!! I'll stop posting off topic now before someone gets mad.... Lol

So I am starting a 1974 rivvy build that will get ran the end of July. What exactly makes these better than caddys, which are dominating around here. I looked at my buddy's caddy frame and it seemed beefier than this rivvy. Not worried about the trunk, I have those figired out pretty well but worried about it bellying at the firewall. Anything o can do after my heat to help it out for the grudge or main if I get really lucky. It's more of a stocking type build but frame will be cut off even with the front of the core support mounts and 10"shocks welded down the side. We are allowed 4x6 plates after the heat. If it hasn't started to belly yet where would I want them to prolong the life of the car?

I'm allowed 30 inches of plate, should I put all of it in the S curve at firewall? Looks to me like that's the most important spot and or first place to move on the front 1974 Riviera GS

I'm allowed to box frame up to 10 inches back from bumper brackets or 15 inches per frame rail, replace all body mounts with 3/4 and suck to frame, allowed to build cage all the way back to the humps AKA fuel cell protection. The rear of car I'm not worried about being as I've built so many monties.

I've also got a slider and slider steering if it does go up at firewall. Our rules are pretty easy going. They changed them last year for vics but left me a lot of loop holes while doing so.

15" of bracket I would for sure try to fill what little gap will be there infront of A-Arm, I'd probably have 2 4x4 I'm the back with the humps, if not a little more, and them put the rest between A-Arm and firewall.
