If you can't find this, the VIN will tell you what the engine was

If you can't find this, the VIN will tell you what the engine was funny thing is is that the car came without a hood and cannot find the vin tag in any of the usual places, not even real sure on year, was told a 76 but has the double rear frame so im thinking slightly newer than 76.... the car is a total mystery to me but couldnt pass it up for $100..... also the part of the inner fenders where it meets the frame is cut out when someone took the engine out, is this a real important thing, most of the inner fender is there yet except for a little bit by the frame, will the strength still be there if i can seem weld the frame from firewall forward and suck the k member tight?

Not trying to sound like a jack ass but how do you tell if your doba has a double rear frame and do some chargers?

Stick ur finger in a frame hole... if it only goes half up the frame its double frame, or cut a small hole in the trunk above the frame, if it is boxed its doubled

Is it just me or is the rear frame a U shape and the top of the trunk floor boxes it in? I wish mine wasn't so rusty. I'd love to find a cleaner one real soon.

yes these are unibody cars. The trunk floor is a part of the frame.
The "double frame" ones aren't actually doubled at all.... but they do have an extra piece spot welded right through the middle of the rear frame. It's sorta like a length of C channel inside there. You can feel it by sticking your finger up into the holes in the bottom; if you can't reach all the way to the underside of the trunk floor, it is a "double frame" car

After running 5 of these I finally understand what to look for as far as double frames! Other explanations always were kinda vague. Thanks. Got 3 in the yard to go check. I'm not sure why it matters, maybe I'll use the back on one hit instead of 0.

I know what your talking about dmc. I cut through what appeared to be extra c-channel. But I could still reach the floor..

Do you think the fronts of these can hold up to a stuffed stock bumper?

Do you think the fronts of these can hold up to a stuffed stock bumper? It would depend on your rules as to how well, but yes they'll hold any bumper in a limited weld and of course full weld.

Well I'm not sure if I can weld in k frame, but I can weld a arms forwards and hardnose bumper and then weld on shocks to bumper and frame. I can also pull pucks out and suck in k frame. No kickers though.
