No demostration needed, once you do it once you could teach a 8 year old to do it, easiest way in my opinion is to jack the frame up, cut the tabs, let the jack out allowing the frame to bend downward to the desired hight, reweld what you cut, and weld the shit out of it.

If you cut it the frame itself is heavy enough for the front to drop down.

Just to correct you the cold bending process is not done by heating the frame with a torch. You Chain the front and rear of the car and put 2 sources to bend the frame (bottle jacks)etc at the point of the frame where you want to bend it. Preferably where the stock crossmember is and you replace it with a new piece of angle iron for an crossmember bracket to be welded to the frame. We've cold bended on the crush boxes. Is cold bending more effective when done by the crossmember?

ur not cutting anything off the frame if you do it at the crush boxes. your just splitting the seams of the frame. it falls down once they are cut. figure out where you want it and weld the seams back up. very simple.

if you do it by the crossmember you cut a 1/4-1/2 pie out of the frame. let it drop so it matches up. then weld it back up

what makes a harder car, cold bending by the crossmember or cutting the tabs on the crushboxes... which will make your car harder.....

In my opinion!.. Cold bending is not the way to go, and i have my reasons why i don't like cold bending! I personally like to tilt my frame at the crush boxes! Measuring helps out alot while doing this. I cut the flaps at the crush boxes and then push down on the front bumper until frame is 100 percent level! I take my time, and i do alot of measuring! Its easier said then done!

every time i tilt at the box i have always put all 4 corners of the car on jack stands with the same size tires all the way around and got the bottom of the tires approx. 6 inches off the ground then cut the tabs. let let the front drop and weld em up. anyone agree with this???

I have yet to build one of these newer cars. First one for me could possibly be a 90 towncar. I understand the tilt thing I think and by reading this thread I think I understand that your doing it to level the front frame section into relation with the center section. What part of the front frame section are you looking at to base this off of? And why do you bulldog the car so much that it seems like your counteracting the whole idea of tilting? How does the bulldogging help? And what does it help?
