Wheelbase on Impalas, Caprices, Delta 88's, and Lesabres is 125", while Electras and 98's is 127". I'm pretty sure the frame will be too long. Also all 71-76 Chevy Wagons had 125" wheelbase while all the 71-76 BOP Wagons had 127". But I imagine all the wagon frames are the same. Would 2" really make a difference?

Hey anyone lets say my 74 impala had the rear tucked and notched. And the humps were plated and hidden. Just in "theory" of course. And it will get pinned. How low can i put it? And should i really canoe it? And any other tips a pro might know?

Seems to be close enough I might have to try I really need a body for a t/p frame Electra and I've found the delta 88 cheap if it works I'll let u guys know thanks for the response

wondering what is the best way to setup the bumper on a 76 buick 225. I only have the stock bumper and horns. I plan on seam welding the bumper and was thinking about mounting it upside down. I read some where on here about swapping bumper brackets from sided to side and turning them upside down is this a good idea. Probably my last time running an old Gm and dont want to waste the front.

Probably my last time running an old Gm and dont want to waste the front. collapse and weld the shocks solid. either tilt the brakcets back or flip the bumper, weld bumper to shocks solid, you can leave the bumper not seam welded if you want it a little softer, they are the only real good buick bumper. make sure to get the car up some.

However if your promotors allow clipping vehicles cut the seam on the frame under where the rear doors pull the two frames apart and hook the back hlf of the duece to the front have of the olds problem solved ...i have done this and it works just fine

I prefer one in the center at the very top of the hump and an extra rear seat bolt myself.

Your stock bellhousing id going to explode ...if your front bumper shocks go to your a arms and your confident that you have a good set up at tje firewall the i would put the other six on the humps also this is assuming you have a gas tank protector

how do you guys think a vic front bumper would work on the back of a 76 olds 98? be ok if it was loaded. Stock i think it would break in half and not be strong enough to hold the frame together.

Ok, I will ask this question again here in this board. I run 74-76 chevys all the time. The last 4 or 5 have bent behind the a-arms right at the firewall. What can I do to prevent this? I had someone post and told me to plate the crush boxes. How can I do this when the rules do not allow. Does anyone have pictures of what they have done?

it's the nature of the beast on the chevy's the curve at the firewall is stood up steeper than the BOP's so they tend to push back at the firewall and then up vs up like the BOP's, wouldn't say this happens every time but many, barring any plating, or kickers, or the use of "protectors" it pretty much is what it is
