Is a 74 Pontiac Grandville any good? It's got a 400 cubic inch powerplant behind it. 2 door hardtop. Right now it's $1200 obo, should I make an offer?

Good cars if built right. Weld on 74-76 Chevy horns and fill the large hole in the side of the frame. Can be competitive. Not worth 1200 IMO

Anyone have pictures on how to weld on the bumper mounts on a 75 Bonneville? I was told to take them off, swap sides, and then weld the mounts to the frame then weld the bumper to the mounts, but when I go to mock them up, it looks goofy...is there a part that needs cut off? Also, the steel inner fenders, keep them or leave them alone? can't weld them to the frame but should I cut them, and fold them, then bolt them to the outer? Pics of the bumper thing would be great, and i will post pics of the problem I am running into.

Wheres every 1 puttin their 2nd notch on these? Ihave it notched in front of the rear bumper bracket with a 1x1 square cut , do I make the 2nd cut on the side of the body mount next to the hump or the side nearest rear bumper? Should it b now or after heat race and a bigger notch or smaller? I know some people will say dimple it but 1st notch is alreadt cut.LOl. Should a v notch b made instead? I ve seen 1s with a v but with the top of the frame left stright, any insight would b apreciated. Trunk has been stitch welde 4in on 12 off and creased right above the notch with a loader bucket down about 12 in

Reb, I serpentine notch.
Notch 1: I make a 1/4 inch deep by 1/4 inch wide cut across the top of the frame about 4 inches behind where the rear well stops and the frame flattens out.
Notch 2: I make a 1/2 inch deep by 1/2 inch wide cut across the top of the frame about 2 inches in front of the last rear body mount.
This method makes the rear curl much like a scopions tail and pack in rather nicely while still keeping a strong and useful trunk until that occurs.

Anybody have pics of a hardnosed bop with a flat bumper? Trying to figure out how close it will be to the core support.
