I dont think you need to flip either upside and I'm pretty sure they pretty similar except the 77 has two large vent holes in the center and the 4 does not. I've never ran one stock though. They are my favorite bumper to load. Everyone I talked to said flip them. And one will be loaded for sure. Just one is going to be for our "windshield" class which don't allow stuffing bumpers. And I'm too cheap to buy a 74,5,6 gm bumper

If its loaded I definitely wouldn't flip it. It did a great job on the front of last years Caddy. I would load the 74 so people cant look through the front and see how you did it and run the 77 stock

And just and FYI about the rear bumper on that grand prix, they are pretty weak in my opinion. I tried running the rear grandprix on the front of a car once, I seam welded it and everything and I made one small hit on a junk car playing around at my shop and it twisted bad.

So i definitely need to swap the rear out for something better. Any suggestions?

I think pretty much any of the decent flat rear bumpers would do quite well.

Anyone know of they made a tow package model of these? My guess is they didn't but a old timer said if one did he would guess a wagon so wanted to double check with guys that ran them.
Also is a wagon boxed center on these and sedans all channel like the fullsize?

honestly not sure about the wagons. The cars however all that I've seen are channel in the middle. Also never heard of a tow package on a midsize car

Correct. My first car was a monte and it was a pretty stock build, stock body mounts (could change the core support bolt), 4 pt cage, lightly weld the bumper on, and chain everything up and I had alot of luck with it. I think with the right set of rules they can be really good cars

Looks like wagons aren't boxed center section either. Place I'm thinking of taking it is 14 inch 3/8 bumper strap and hump plate. Figure hump plate would really help these cars.

There were a couple ran at bash4cash in ~2013 or 14? that held their own for being picked on.
I remember when i was young(late 90s OH)there were a few leafed ponchos that would go back to back with clamshells all night.
