So do you guys have a rule against hard hits? why was the bright green shocker dqed when him and the wagon went nose to nose. Yes I was DQ'd for hitting to hard in the Green shocker. Was told that I was driving to aggressive and was going to hurt someone. They said I should not have been going full length of track to hit people. Told them what would have happened if I had brought my imperial out with a built motor. Then what would they have said. LOL I thought that call was overturned? Anyways I hope you made some money out of it.

Makes no sense how can they put you at fifth place and not get any money out of the deal, you should have at very least doubled your entry.
Shitty deal!

Ok I understand this but I have read this thread at least 4 times and barely got anything except for when he built those brackets or whatnot with the gussets that attached the front part of those diagonal down bars on the cage... Plus motor n tranny n steering...exetera...

I mean I really didn't understand what yall did with the frame and what you did with the bumper shocks

There was nothing done to the frame.
We did not mount the bumpers with shocks we made plates to pick up the bolt holes on the frame and bumper.
The humps were chained and the leafs were clamped.
Everything we did is right here in the build with pics to boot.
Mike.

Hey! Anyone heard from Superman lately? I seen by his profile he was active on here in September. But we haven't seen any of his awesome builds in a few years. I know life and priorities change, but being as passionate as he was with his builds. I doubt he walked away from derbying. I also don't want his build threads to be lost. So much time dedicated and details. Not a lot of people bother with those things anymore.

Sill around, currently building a 64 Imperial. My Brother is building a 76 New Yorker.
