Hey guys, you are true sportsmen! We enjoyed competing with you and look forward to our next adventure! Your cars were put together pretty meticulous and the motor sounded great until it got hot. I know the back of the 58 was hard, he and my guy hit back to back and it was just a thud. You could almost hear the "booooiiiiiinnng" in the stands!!!! Anyways, get to work on next year,we enjoy watching your progress!

We had a good time out there and it was fun competing with everyone. The rear of are cars were not altered we only per bent them and bolted the trunk lids shut, they are pretty strong cars stock. We had some of the best looking cars but obviously could not compete with the cars that were hard. Everything we did to our cars was posted in our thread so if there is any question to how are cars were built check the pics. We pride ourselves in sportsman ship and playing within the rules, we were playing fairly!
Aftermath pics to come.

After pics, Need to get the engine pulled out and hoping I can salvage the header if not I guess I can order one from DEC. With a little work this one is ready to go for next year. The ground wire pulled out of the crimp connection taking him out. Next time solder and crimp! More pics and video to come later. We had a great time out there talking with all the drivers that came by. Win lose or draw it dosent matter its about getting out there and competing and putting one a good show, all though getting into the money would have been nice. Watch for the new Superman build I am looking for a car as I write this This year should be a lot less work as everything has been rebuilt and will tranfer right over. Thanks again for all the comments!!!

Just curious on who you are saying didn't build within the rules? Becasue from what I saw your cars were built pretty good and I didn't see in the rules where you are allowed kickers to the frame. Don't judge the other cars. They all passed tech again after the derby. We had a good time out there and it was fun competing with everyone. A video of my brothers qualifing heat.
Here is a pretty good video of our main event, pretty lame showing on my part. Hats off to David Smith in the #18 car he torn my car up, he also went on to win the whole deal.
Enjoy.
