I was thinking if you could put a 99-02 stub in one and in the right place you could tilt it and get easier engine mounting and bumper height.

Has anyone put a 98-02 vic stub in one of these? Why would you? The front of these are hard as hell. It's cuz ppl are too apt to cookie cutter cars now that they don't wanna stray away from the same old thing... Instead of trying something the new answer is just stub it with a vic

IMO it's all how you do the bumper.
If done right, they are very good up front.

IMO most models take certain rules to really get the most out of them. For instance, anything to help the humps would be a huge help. Most people assume they are weak in the assend...there is too much back there being put on the humps is the real problem. Then you get into mounting the front bumper.. Or having to trim some frame/relocate core support(Lincolns)..
If you really read through the tips threads(read all of the 70s tips, info is scattered all over) you could have a good 90% of your questions answered. They have a lot more potential than people think

Gonna try my first of these. 75 Lincoln. Will be Mopar powered and most likely use the 9 inch in the car.

big heavy tires and strong wheels will not work well with stock front end components of that lincoln. IMO

I personally have not lost ANYTHING suspension/ steering wise on a 70s ford. Just get the upper part of the spindle tight to the spring pocket and you'll be fine. I have seen a good handfull of steering boxes break with no P/S though

Thats exactly what happened to this one on it's first run. Broken steering box. I will have power steering and It has the upper ball joints welded in to the a arms.
