Is a fresh pointy to much bumper for a 62 f100 4x4 I wouldn't use the pointy unless you can box the frame. Jmo

Where do you want to plate the frame on a 4x4 f100? Allowed 12 inches of plate I believe. The cage will be tied to the frame just after front axle and from back cross bar down to frame. Plus the back roof bars down in the bed. I would maybe think to plate the area at the rear leaf mounts on front leaf springs. Does anyone have any better ideas?

I would use the plate right behind the front bumper and box it in to your engine cradle. Those trucks are to be driven forward not backwards

Besides mounting the steering box is there any problem with putting a 70's style chevy 3/4ton 4x4 front axle underneath a 57-64 ford? has anybody tried this before, i have seen many of the straight axles break their tires off

Last week i put a 80's chevy axle under the front of my ford frme, only reason being the extra front height and the extra strength from the leafs. Nd if u run short narrow tires on the front chances are you wont get any broken ones.

Thanks, i meant ive seen the ford twin I-beams break their tires off of multiple trucks which seems to be one of their only weak points. I've ran chevy 4x4 axles and given them alot of abuse without breaking one off. And yes i suppose being creative is what we do best in this sport. lol

Stock rules limited weld what should I know about it its a 97 f150 what r its weak spots ECT Allowed any kickers or anything? It should have a hug crush point at the front if the frame horns. Get some long bumper shocks in there. Make sure the bed is 100% secure to the cab. Extra body mounts are great. If you can have a gas tank protector, can you have kickers down to frame? I cut a notch out of the frame right in front of the rear spring shackle brackets so that it allows it to roll the leaf springs. They like to belly. You don't want to build a super hard truck, these just aren't good for that. I'd it an obs or new style?

No rules? First of all, GOOD cage and halo bar, then from there plates and kickers, then more of the same
