cut the inner structure out and tail light panel then crease the quaters, lay them tight to the trunk floor bolt the deck lid back on tuck it behind the bumper then crease the speaker deck right above trunk hinges that will make it as tight as you can get it I use the rollback bed before bolting the deck lid on

If you run a wire from your starter to the distributor, how are you going to turn the car off? Unless you are turning it off by turning the pump off. and you are going to have power going to the dist constantly which I would not advice, especially if you are not running and HEI.

im new to derbying andim wanting to learn how to get the trunk lid and speaker deck so low to where it is almost laying on the trunk floor area this one is just by sledge hammer with speaker deck in By travi__157 at 2012-01-22 this one was with back hoe speaker deck still in By travi__157 at 2012-01-22 this one had speaker deck cut out trunk moved forwards welded to out side body then shoved down with a jack bc it would just bounce with a sledge hammer then welded to body where the speaker deck would cover and welded in back of trunk area and strapped to bumper By travi__157 at 2012-01-22 By travi__157 at 2011-09-29 By travi__157 at 2012-01-22

If you are running a HEI all you need is one wire from the battery as your hot and one from your distrubuter. Then just twist the two together to complete the circuit when you want to start the motor. When you want to shut it off un twist the wires.

I tucked my trunk as described on the first page of this thread. Just re-read the rules and realize that you are permitted to tuck the trunk (not wedge) but that I am not allowed to weld or use bolts on the trunk.....Chain, wire or band only in 2 spots per seam. Whats the best way to finish it?
I can post a picture tomorrow of what I have done. This was my first tuck and I was excited about it, but after folding the trunk lid and realizing that I cannot bolt or weld, I am beginning to feel like I should have left it be. Its a pretty stock derby by looking at the rules.
