I'll try to find some pics, but as a short response..its basically lowering your tailgate over your frame rails and welding to the box/frame as the bumper, instead of using one. It helps tie everything together and puts less stress on the frame.

It depends a lot on your rules. Local shows(swOH) the rangers usually dominate it...s10's/jimmy's tend to belly really bad, and jeeps are ok if you find one that's not rusted through. That's mainly all I've seen run in this area, other than a few yota's/mitsi's here and there(they place but are usually mangled).

90's ford ranger, v6 5speed 2wd...Haven't seen much about them on here. Don't need many tips, but would just like to know if they are worth the time? and if the engine is worth using or should I swap it for something else?

I can weld frame seam...a single pass along entire frame.
Driver door solid. Passenger door, tailgate & hood......3 on 6 off. 6 hood bolts to frame
Is 4x4, so I'm not too worried about front height.
Is a 2 door. What to watch for on these?

Got a 88 s10 blazer 4.3, the oil filter is up by the core support, what are you guys doin? can i just run without an oil filter, or put a different housing? Doesnt really look like there is room with front diff for it to come right off block like a sbc.

With the kit, you can mount it anywhere you want. I would suggest on a frame rail behind the engine cross member, or very low on the outside of the firewall. The adapter with the kit is only about one inch thick and is much stronger than a filter body. It has been about 13 years since I have purchased one, but it was about $45 then. Got it through the local Car Quest performance catalog. Was putting an old school 429 into a small block 80's F150 for street use and the factory filter location caused problems. That is when I discovered that such a kit existed. The single kit would work for several different engines from multiple manufacturers. The lines were high quality, flexible hydraulic lines with nice fittings and braided stainless steel covers.
