I got a 89 Ranger extended cab I'm putting a 4.3 in it . Never built one so I will listen to any info anyone has. I do want to put a slider in it, I also know that I can only do a mild build. So what do you guys think? Be ready to cut firewall up while u are putting in that 4.3l in that ranger

What would be good for a bumper if you don't have any crown vic bumper? Does the class allow homemade? If so that's the route I would go.

I can use 2x3 tubing, should I just leave it flat or add a little and make a pointed one out of it?

Either way works if you go with point I wouldn't go overkill. Box the ends and run angle Iron back to frame if you can.

What ideas do you guys have on the I-beam suspension? I took a piece of angle iron, set the height I wanted on my Exploder and welded it solid. Havent had any issues with it and its been in 4 or more derbys. The weak link will be the steering box most of them break. A f-150 steering box is bigger and should bolt right up.

You can also use a piece of tube to replace the shock. If you think you have too much camber, and don't feel comfortable, you can use a few plates and drop the ibeams in the center also.
