Just run a 1970's Chevy half ton and throw a square tube bumper on it and you'll eat all the junk 59-65 fords and all the junk 60-69 dodges up when it comes to strength. Just sell me all those junk trucks I mentioned earlier so you don't even have to look at them.

Worst part is the narrow front horns. If you can keep the horns straight, you won't have a problem. Also, the rear Springs are pretty weak, they need addressed also.

How well do the 94 and dodges hold up if so any info on what's best to them? Theres a little bit of talk on them in a separate thread. They are decent trucks. I ran one stock and it held up awesome.

I have run Chevys fords and dodges. My personal favorite is 94 up dodges. I prefer regular cab short box 4x4s had good luck with them with Chevy drivetrain Did you do anything to the frame up front? didnt need too. took 6 runs to finally get the front to move i had a 2003 1500 shortbod ran in limited weld

I gonna run à 73 powerwagon is there something i should know its my first truck i run thanks With the 'right' welds, they can look stock and do good. I've seen some in light weld trucks and do pretty good. Normally eliminated by no steering but I think that's a builder error not weak truck components.

Yes we have pretty open rules for welding, all thread in 8 places, car bumper swaps, etc. I've just always heard that the longer trucks just make for bigger targets
