ok so i'm going to bore it .030 over so i need -.030 over pistons and rings -shaving the head -going to give it a different cam, what size should i get? -and going to add a different carb, which one would be the best? i have a regular 2 bbl stock on it now that is a 4 bolt design - oh and i'm going to port and polish it also. -anything you guys would suggest doing also?
Looking at buying a 2.3 that is built for mod 4 racing. In general would one of these motor work good in a derby? I don't know anything for specs on the motor off hand except that it has a fresh head, isky racing cam and its converted with new solid lifters.
I had my 2.3 running less than 3 weeks ago..new dist. cap rotor, plugs,wires,fuel pump,starter,valve cover gas,holley 500 2brl, getting spark to all the plugs..but it seems like no gas is getting to the plugs..valve issue?
