I have a 1984 cutlass with a 3.8 engine. I have never used one of these engines, was just wondering how to wire it? Is it the same as doing a v8 Chevy engine?

Off track a bit, I have ran many w bodys n knw there great, how do these g body gm rwd do against w bodys? are rules are messed up this year n any 108 and under can run the compacts... what would be better a built gm fwd w body or would the built rwd g body with a vortec 4.3 hammer?

If all goes well, that brown Malibu pictured above will be running against my W next Sunday. We'll find out. Down side for me....my W has already been run twice, once as a compact, once as a full size.

I've ran both, and there are several ways to look at it. W body's will outrun a g body almost every time. G body's can have their suspension and rear ends beefed up like a full size and can make it deamn near impossible to beat the wheels off it with a lighter compact car. Backs of g body's aren't the toughest, but are much tougher than a W. A W will beat a G body nose to nose almost every time.

I will find out sunday myself! might have to run the w body since i need more time to build the g the way i want it. the quickness of the w is a big factor i think, plus its a wet show, so... thanks

I have a 85 g-body that i keep blowing the rear axles out of, the shafts seem to be crap on these things, does any one know of any solid steel axles out of a different model that will fit this thing, or a 13 inch rim that will fit the bolt pattern, bolt patteren is the same as the full frame 77-80s b-body full size chevy 4and 1/2 i think
any help must appreciated
thank you

Looks like there will be miles In between the radiator and the motor . Running deep gears to make up for the lack of displacement ?

I wish I could find a set of 5.13's,I have that ratio in 2 of my mustangs and I think they work great with a stock motor and trans.

Seen full size guys running Vic's and a 4.3 slide the motor back all the way and shortern the frame and bring radiator support back. Anything like that likely to go on with your car ?
