I'm a cheap ass, so it would have to be '74+, have the 8", be pretty clean and have a couple years worth of road time left on it.
But I think this will answer your question more appropriately.....74+ Pinto is toward the top of the list of desirable compacts....depending on whose list it is...for some, it is the top pick.

well that one was a bust. But can still get an 79 or 80 bobcat for cheaper. looks to be in decent shape. But neither run. Only bad thing is i live in the ole salt belt

Ran my 80 pinto wagon last night had a short run. Was looking at the car today and noticed the front frame has shifter over about and inch or two from the a arms forward. Is it worth the time to pull it back in line and throw some 1/4inch plates on it or will it bend right back?

you should do either one of two things. 1.) definely fix it cause it is worth it, or... 2.) just sell it to me to fix and run lol . its definely worth fixing man i would look into it a good bit just put a little thought behind it and you'll see exactly how to "fix" it lol

yep definitely fix it and run it. pintos are one of the best quick easy cars to build. plus they can get you into the money at most derbys. a little driving and you can win a time or two.

definitely fix it, try and build the front end to keep the fenders and hood together, it seems to help keep the frames straighter as well! good luck

for one fully extend your front bumper shocks weld the seam on the shock then weld a bead down the side of the shock for added support then weld the bumper shock to the outside of "frame" in the wheel wells so your bumper is about on the end of the frame . then take a hammer and there is a pinch weld on the top of the "frame" inside the engine compartment most promoters will allow you to weld from a arms forward bend that pinch over so its flat then weld it to the "frame" thats how you can gain your support up front.
