will have to look for a few.........the wagons and trunks i just leave the gate or trunk lid on......no real need for the wire there....i know there are some guy's that take the gate off the wagon's but i've never done it.

If a guy hump plated a pinto wagon do you think it would bend in front or behind the plate? We are allowed to plate them there but didn't want to do it if it was gonna make it belly fast....its a full weld car and the cage would probably keep it from bending there....but figured I'd ask

Its not really a hump in the car but more or less the area and yes you could stick a plate in it and tie it in to the body. I've already seam welded the spot to keep it from separating but it wouldn't take much for it to bend instead of pull apart. I was just asking if the rear frame would then bend better or if it would bend in front of the plated area.

i've never had one "bend" around the humps.....probably because of the leaf springs...i've had the leaves bend and the leaf springs come up through the floor in the front but frame never bent around the hump area......might just have to try it to see what happens......let me know if you do this and how it turns out.

What size tires do you run? I have a 77 pinto wagon and I'm thinking about running 600x14 v treads for rear and 14 inch 8 ply trailer tires on the front.

i have always run 14's on mine......usually bar tread tractor tire type on the rear and diggers up front.

just wondering what the advantage is to running straight treads on the back and diggers up front when it is a rear wheel drive

I think what pintodave meant was he uses diggers in the rear and mud&snows up front.....and billarnold15 uses diggers inthe rear and heavy duty straight treads up front. That's what I took away from it anyway.
