Do what you want, but if it were me, I'd be pulling the engine, trans, and maybe rearend and crushing the rest. Foxs aren't that great of cars imo to fix that kind of rust. A floor patch or 2 sure. That thing is way beyond that though... The one thing I've found with rusty cars is there is always more than what the eye can see. Many times things rust from the inside out and you don't know how thin something is until a hole or crack appears. X2. That would be going to the scrap yard if it were me, and i live in NY

so im thinking if i started my cut there where the yellow is right behind the strut towers i can do one side at a time or i go under and drill out all the spot welds and do whole thing but remember i am allowed to repair any rusts after i cut it out with same gauge steel

getting 1 other car done and haul it to Indiana to the father in laws then the capri comes back in the shop and saw blades and torches come out to cut front clip or maybe swap it out for another roller

Anything stiff, yet lightweight. Stock, these can't handle a heavy bumper. The one on that car came right off the back of that car. The front ones aren't too bad either for a stock build. They only had steel bumpers through '86 This was a pretty clean car to start with. Here's the back after run 3 Do you have any pics of how the floor over the rear end looks?

I've been through 3 & a half of the hatchback fox stangs. The first 3 (the one pictured being #3) were before we were allowed tank protectors. When I threw them all away, there were barely any wrinkles between the front seat and the rear axle and a couple slightly separated seams. #4 hasn't spent enough time in reverse to bend yet.
