On C3s you can run MOP trans mount shifters, which would probably also work for the a4ld being they are about the same thing.

I am fairly positive it is the A4LD transmission. Could you point me in the right direction for the MOP shifter? There's a few trans. mount shifters on their website, but not quite sure which one is going to work. I've gotten products from MOP before. Very good quality.

We have been running the stock shifter with a homemade reverse lockout for years without any issues on the auto trans.

The one I have is for th350/400, not sure which holes I use. had to ream them slightly and cut the rod down to about 3 inches but works great. Don't quote me on it fitting though. That's just a guess since the transmissions are very similar.

Sorry I’m just getting back with you, if I remember right something about there being a recall on the converters backnjn the day, the clutches aren’t very good, just all around a cheap built transmission and it seems most swapped to a t-5. Just curious because we have one laying around and didn’t know if it would be worth building for a second setup

Is there away on these cars to make a bumper out of square tubing I'd like to be able to make a bumper being there getting hard to find.Im asking cause I learned that these cars can't handle a hard bumper the last one I made with 2 pieces of 3x3 1/4 welded together and it nosed down.Just wondering if I can make it out of thinner tubing or if I need to get rid of the homemade bumper idea and purchase one or if there a vendor that makes something softer that I can use that would be easier then junkyard hunting thanks in advance
