I learned from now on to plate the spindles because they bend and break easy where the arm is skinny

Our 90 Accord is finally dead after 7 small time runs.
Run 1, the back folded pretty nicely. Easy win out of 5, with 2nd being a Maxima wagon and 3rd being an AMC SX4. Broke the radiator. Decided to throw it away and use an inline filler neck to loop the hoses...good decision.
Run 2, 3rd place out of 6, hung up on a wheel from another car...under the belly was the rear wheel from a Pacer. 1st, same Maxima wagon, 2nd, Fairmont. By now the back end is used up and we need to push the belly off the ground.
Run 3...one hit wonder, 5th out of 5. He went head on with a Pacer and got cleared. Alernator padding tore and alternator grounded out, blowing the main fuse. Threw away the alternator...another good decision. 1st...Pacer, 2nd...Pinto, 3rd...same Maxima wagon, 4th...fwd Sunbird.
Winter break...time to build headers.
Run 4.....Easy win out of 5...no real damage taken...2nd...Pacer, 3rd, AMC SX4.
Run 5...3rd out of 4...bogus DD call. No real damage...1st...Pacer, 2nd...Escort
Run 6...Easy win out of 4....2nd...AMC SX4, 3rd...Ford Probe....Front end is finally showing signs of weakness, but still stands srong.
RIP run 7...4th out of 4....took a hard hit to the back right, right off the bat and bellied very hard...car is now slow. Broke an upper ball joint, which pulled the inner cv apart. Flying cv shaft put a big crack in automatic tranny case. This car is damaged badly enough to not be worth swapping a transmisson. 1st...bubble Cavi, 2nd...Ford Probe, 3rd...Mopar EEK.
For a fwd to impress me is nearly impossible. This car was very worthwhile and has thoroughly impressed me......would not hesitate to pay money for another one.

I'm not sure if donuts on the back helped me or not. The first night a spirit cleared my trunk and quarters clear off the trunk floor. His front bumper was higher then my rear bumper, didn't even touch it. Then the 2nd night I had a full wheel and tire from the front of a mustang hung up under me. Which made it very hard to move and many counted me out, but I was like the tortoise, slow and determined.

what would be the best way to raise the front and back of the car? and there are no rules since itll be a figure 8 car and we would like to keep some suspension travel and the motor still runs but has a knock but it knocked a hole in the engine and drained the oil it still turns free and runs but is there a way to fix this or will we need to get a new block? i figure we will need a new block but i figured id still ask. thanks

I just bought a 91 accord wagon, super clean. Its for a stock FWD class. I can switch bumpers, thats about it. But worried about my competition, out of roughly 25 cars, 20 might be W body gms(luminas, grand prix ect), how do you guys think the honda will hold up against them?

Put a good bumper on that honda and go axle hunting. Luminas are strong until they take a front wheel shot.

W's are heavier and have higher front bumper height, but I don't think they are any stronger.

I can agree with 1 of those statements...The wagons weight over 3000 lbs stock and fully stripped are about as heavy as a W body. Accords have enough room to clear taller tires and can sit as high as a W body. The only real advantage they will have is a difference in power. Depending on how stock, especially if body mounts have to remain stock, they will be at a dissadvantage. I think you will be fine.

I didn't consider the wagon being heavier, but an average W still comesin between 3100-3300 stock. Our 2.0 Accord is quite a bit quicker than my 3.1 Regal.
Trifles.
Wouldn't be a bit afraid to use it though.

Wagons are quite a bit heavier. Honda actually put bigger brakes on the front to compensate for the weight. 14 inch rims will not clear the bigger brakes. W bodies might be a little heavier but it's not that big of a difference. Either way they will run with W bodies. I tried to prove that by taken my sedagon to a show that was all W bodies last year and there were only 2 this year.
