Ive got a 76 two door chevette I'm running in January and I'm just wondering how high you guys are setting the bumpers on theses cars. Ive never built a mini so any info you can give would help.

Ive never built a mini so any info you can give would help. scrap the front, collapse/weld the frt bumper shocks and cut down a mid 80's crown vick or a 77'-80' buick regal or malibu front bumper.leave on the stock rear weld shock's also then cut a V or a section from rear frame rails just past the bumper shock.

Has anyone ever tucked the back of the hatch into the trunk area like they are doing on the fullsize cars. I was thinking it would give the rear roome to roll up instead of squishing down. just a though.

ive had the best luck if I leave them soft I box in the factory bumpers and chain the bumpers on allowing them to shock just chain them so they cant fall off I never notch the rears I just beat down the center of the last window and just a bit on the frame about 6-8 inches from the back my backs have never buckled

Do everything your rules will allow, and get rid o the fan. Replace it with a lo-profile electric if allowed.
If you can't at least chain down your motor mounts, forget it. If you can't "fix" the tie rod ends, drive smart. If you can't notch & prebend, drive forward.
