gracegerk85 It could get interesting dealing with the fuel system as it may be GDI and some GDI systems run up to several hundred pounds of fuel pressure. In this case, fuel pressure MUST be bled down before opening a line. Also I almost guarantee the fuel pump is pulse width modulated(duty cycled) like most any modern vehicle. That means it varies the speed of the fuel pump to create the needed pressure instead of using a regulator. If the fuel pump is pulse width modulated a standard 12v pump will not work or it will run like crap. Also I'm sure there are airbags everywhere that will need to be dealt with.

Had anyone tried and in-line pump with an aftermarket pressure regulator in it on the hyundais? First compact and trying to avoid buying a new tank if I don’t have too.

Problem solved! I ran a diagnostic test with an OBD and it showed three codes of a bad crankshaft position sensor. So if your accent doesn't run off of cranking the ignition over but will roll start, more than likely you have a bad crank position sensor. I picked up a brand new one off of ebay for $12.95 shipped to my door. I also recommend investing in an OBD. It cost quite a bit, but will diagnose the problem with most 1996 and newer vehicles, derby car or an everyday driver. mitch had this exact problem as well
