I love these. Ran one in a bone stock show and did very well, won my heat and probably should have used it in the feature, but had a fresh crown Vic to use

Where do you relocate the overflow bottle? Just like my grand am the over flow bottle is where you fill the rad. I moved it to the firewall on my Grand am but the Contour is a v6 and I didn't see any room. Maybe I will find a place once I start stripping stuff from under the hood.

^^^For sealed radiators, I have found an inline filler neck to be a very worthwhile and inexpensive investment.

^^ very good idea. if you dont feel like spending the money you can also just run a closed system, watch out when it blows though.

I think mine was only about $30 shipped on ebay. I will be getting more for sure. My original reason was to use it on cars that no longer had room for a radiator, but found it is a very effective replacement for reservoirs with the pressure cap built into them. Just splice it into the highest point on the upper hose.

Mine has the "fancy" alum. wheels on it. Does anyone know if they are all alum or just steeled covered and if they are strong enough to use? If not, what other steels wheel fit these cars?

from the ones ive seen in a gut and go derby the back packs in perfect doing nothing to it, but the front ends break pretty quick if you get hit in the wheel, just from what ive seen

i dont know about tempos, but escort wheels will not fit without some modifications. i dont remember if the holes are a little different pattern or if the hub was too small but i remember having to do some drilling/grinding and you might run into some problems with the brakes getting in the way.

My bad, I should have said 80s escorts. The hub is the same diameter. Also, are contours 15 inch rims or 14s? If they are 15s, then the brakes might get in the way. I've never ran one of these before. Just going by the link.

I've had one of these,,, never got to run it though,,, scrapped it for what we payed and got a Dippy. But I was told a tuck and a dimple on the frame, right behind the where the axle was would help tremendously. The fronts are somewhat okay, but focus on using the rear for your big hits
