I'm sure it would fit, not sure if mounts would be the same at all, entire harness and computer would have to be transplanted as well.

Got a question bought a 91 escort wagon and the guy I bought it from had it running before he slid the cage in and split some wires on the drivers and passenger side pillars said once he did that it wouldn't start anymore I've fixed that and it still doesn't start wondering what it may be never messed with one of these before

Welcome to We crash!!
does it have the original gas tank still in the car? if so he mightve cut the fuel pump wire, try putting gasoline into each cylinder then starting, if that works you know its something with the fuel pump (or injectors) You could try finding the actual fuel pump wires and follow them all the way to the split. or The wires could be a little loose when they got put back together.

No it doesn't have original tank he had it running hooked to a fuel cell. But sold it to me without the cell it won't even crank at all thought battery might been dead but I tried to jump it and still no juice.

Double check all your connections and make sure no grounds are unhooked

check and see if the car is in park, if its not in park or neutral it wont crank. sounds like a solenoid, or just loose battery cables

Turns out he cut the ignition wires and the only way I got it to crank was taking a screwdriver and bridging it across both bolts on the starter and hooking the battery up

They seem to belly more so in the back than the 4 doors so do what you can with GTP and rear window bar. They are pretty much the same otherwise.

would it be a good idea to run fork lift tires on the rear of my 91 escort

would it be a good idea to run fork lift tires on the rear of my 91 escort Is there really a benefit to running those forklift tires instead of cheap, "light weight" donut tires on the rear? Once the back smashes in and the tires get locked up, I would think the donuts are easier to drag around? But maybe not?

Getrid of the power steering all together. Escorts steer pretty easy w/o it. What did you do with your power steering pump pulley unit? Fill it with fluid and cap off the hose ports? Empty fluid and run? Wouldn't it burn up and lockup without fluid in the derby?
