the one we just built in 5 hours before the derby was hard as hell. i u'd out the trunk. and ran seat bar with gas tank protecter and then from the seat bar i ran square tubing to a plate to right where the k frame bolts in to the floor board of the car so that where the rear rolled up it pulled one the front to belly. an then for the trunk lid i cut in half an then bolted the top half in the quaters where they r stock then a 3/4 right in the middle where trunk an dip seal is so i sucked all that down as far as i thought it needed it., and then the other half that i cut off i bolted down in the floor. an then notched it right where the trunk lid that was bolted in floor i notched it(cut top bout 1/4 in into the frame an where it was welded in the floor pan i cut out. an then prebent it just a lil. an it folded perfect!!!! also the front struts i jacked all the way up an ran a bead around them an left the rear alone so the rear was a lil bit bulldogged. an we drive on the floor till tranny came apart. had a 70s gm bumper on front. an the front allthread went through the k frame to the upper sub frame an sucked them together. which makes a big diff int he front of the car. the car will be ran again just gonna swap motors. to a 3.1 bc hes got other plans for the 2.5

Does anyone have any pics of where I should prebend the roof and quarter panels? I believe the 1/4's need smashed right behind the wheel well opening and the roof in the middle of the rear side windows? This is my first wagon so I'm not sure on these. Thanks

seam weld the shock towers, had those pull apart on the last one i ran, spot welds from factory were really far apart. an extra 10 - 1/2" welds would have been all it needed

Is it better to remove the trunk lid completely or weld it down and prebend it behind the rear roof posts.

^^Damn that is nice. I would pull the SS badges and cruise in it for awhile first. Is it better to remove the trunk lid completely or weld it down and prebend it behind the rear roof posts. I have always tucked mine with good results.

How well would a set of 14 inch mud grips fit on a Olds cutlass ciera? How tall are they? They will fit a fairly tall tire but if you get too tall they will hit the spring cup. Look at whats on it and the gap between the tire and the spring cup and see how much taller the ones you want to put on are. I run 14 inch tractor lugs on mine with plenty of clearance.

How hard is it to remove the dash in a 1991 Olds Cutlass ciera without cutting any wires? Is it to much work?

How hard is it to remove the dash in a 1991 Olds Cutlass ciera without cutting any wires? Is it to much work? Dashes come out of all of my cars to make room for a cage. These are by no means the easiest dash to get out but not too hard either. Alot of little bolts. Pull the windshield first. Pop all the defroster vents out, they hid bolts under those. Get all the bolts you can see and pull to see where it is hooked. Once it's out start unhooking wires and make sure it still runs.
