4×4 eagle 109 inch wheel base. I can run it if I take the rear drive shaft out. Ho w would this car hold up having the front drive shaft? I think it would be a decent mid size but have never seen one run.

Brother in law ran a 74 gremlin last weekend. Drivers side frame rail bent twice pretty bad. First it bent behind the back bolts of the steering box(in and out). Then again behind the stock bumper bracket in and out. It went up but it also bent inward in those 2 spots. I do got a 78 gremlin I could cut the frame rails off A arms forward, basically the same frame set up of a spirit. I'd have to do both sides cause a 74 is 4 inches longer than a 77-78. But is all this crap really worth it? Or call it junk and move on to the next AMC I got? Rest of the car is pretty straight

If all the damage is a-arm forward, I'd fix it.

Way to heavy of a bumper for a stock unibody Jim Kroll He got hit right on the corner by a W body. Then he kept using the front since the steering got bound up due to the bent frame. Only his 2 time driving. Lost drive shaft early first time out. I got a pretty good idea how this won't ever happen again

What kind of bumper is that? I ran one on a y framer this year and no one I've talked to knows what it is

SX4 has external bracing that can be incorporated, as well as internal gussets that Spirit doesn't. However, the Eagles have piss poor a-arm placement compared to spirit...good for off roading...bad for side impact.

Here is a link to the sx4 i ran last sunday.place third. Stock open wire rules and choice of bumper. Didn't have time to do the ball joints and that's what took me out. Stock drivetrain with a little head work and bigger cam with hei distributor and 25x8.50-14 skids on the back. youtu.be/yr9qjm3AVC8
