around here we have rules that let you build a good car and mine has been around since april. they are good cars with some work. i have 3 1st places and 4 2nd places. the only reason i got 2nd is cause 3 time i got hung up and couldnt get off. i have not had a better car

it was a ddra rules spirit so it coulda had pretty much anything done to it..no idea though i Didn't go look at it. the ones i have look pretty tough though for sure other than the cheezy bumpers and brackets but that can be fixed.

We've run a few SX4's (same body, just taller). DDRA rules let you build a pretty dang stiff car. Even stock, the Spirit hatchbacks have the hardest back end of any mini out there. I don't think I would bother to wedge it. Weld the hatch solid, couple sticks of all thread through the bottom part of it, best leaf pack your rules allow. Push it down a lil & chain the humps, kickers from the seat bar to the front spring perches if allowed.

clean out the lead seam in rear 1/4/hatch area and weld a solid bead, then skim coat with filler.
