yeah i know that core support makes me nervous i have it out right now was thinkin of maybe reteo fitting a older one in there didnt know if it would work my rules are really vague on what u can and cant weld but then again we bring half the car count with us so we might get away with it

Add bolts or welds if you can on that newer style core support.

Thats what holds the radiator in these is a box made of Fiberglass with the fans attached to them.

I threw a Taurus together this year for my first compact derby just to go tear some sh*t up but it was actually a pretty good little car...I ran an inline fuel pump set up wired through a toggle so not sure about the inertia switch but aside from that I agree with everything DemolitionMissions said on pg 1. I would also recommend tying the 2 frame sections together where they meet just behind the front bumper on each side if you are allowed. The ass ends are marshmellows but the noses are HARD. I ended up 3rd out of 15-20 with most of them being pacers/gremlins/mustangs etc.

I'm building a 95 taurus sedan, whats the best way to put the rear end? Also is there any bumper that is durable and fits well up front?

I've got a 98 wagon. not sure what I'm doing with the front quite yet. I know i'm putting pointy rwd compact bumper on the front all welded up. in the rear i'm bolting the tailgate, sitting it a lil low with a dimple and prebent behind the bumper shock with either another pointy bumper or a curved bumper much like a lumina or beretta. 9 wire 2 per window. make sure you pay attention to the hole infront of the rear tires it looks like if no one pays much attention it will screw your rearends and send it right to the ground. derby is august 11th. we will see what happens.
