u guys ever rip shackles out of back of these cars. Do you do anything to fix that problem? Also is a pacer unibody or does it have a subframe up front like a lumina would have? thanks just wondering I never seen one but I am supposed to go look at some monday.

It's nothing like a W body's, but there is indeed a sub under the front.

Here is a stock sub that I saved aside for future use. The white part is the unibody frame rail. Sorry, the pics were taken for the a-arms, not the sub, so not a great angle. These are of a stock Pacer a-arm. I believe it would take some mods to make it fit in a Gremlin.

Looks like unibody is as thick as a normal car frame in the picture ;D

No weld, they bend in front of the sub.
Welded up, they bend at about the firewall.
Takes alot of beating either way.

When you guys suck the k frame up tight on these do you have to notch the frame or the spring bucket inorder for the frame to suck up tight? thanks for the help

how well would the rear of these cars hold up to a flat stacked pile of 5 or 7 springs?
