seen a few hardnosed without the bumpershocks and the nose hit the dirt in minimum 3 shots...... Shows me that it wasn't built right..i had a buddy tilt his and it never when down And if it was hardnosed and went down it gave in the front body mount.. Thats why I hardnose and put a bumper shock in the frame and have that even with the frame

I also agree with derbyboy....... one that goes down in the nose is not built right........or had crappy enough seam welds on the bottom side of the frame that it split causing it to go down

yea, front was too low.. but i bet you 100 bucks.. if he put that bumper on the right way it would have never done that
without know anything else..how it was built or anything.. I bet you the bumper cause that..
every hit with that bumper pushed down on the frame.. and if you watch.. everytime he hit bumper to bumper it moved more and more cause the other bumpers were sliding right up that bumper pushing down on the frame
there was nothing to help the front go up.. everything was higher than it.. I don't flip bumpers unless I know I'm higher than everyone else

rule of thumb on cars that slope down in front of the a arms......dont flip the front bumper......its pretty easy to tell just by looking at these frames that its not the best idea

IMO bumper mounting style isn't as important as ride height in getting it to not go down. My 78 Mark had a 74 monte front on it, mounted upside down, and hardnosed without bumper shocks, frames seams welded firewall forward. Pushed the rails strait into the backing until they were touching the chrome skin in the front, and then it started to go at firewall. But, i had the front maxed out welded solid and 7.00 15s on the front. Never ran it again because, i ran the 460 in it, and smoked the c-6, so i junked her, as it wasn't worth the time to me to fix it for another run.

^^^ EXACTLY. You can mount the bumper on the hood and as long as you get the front end up , its gonna go up... Mount ur bumper any way ya want and if the bumper is 12 inches off the ground ... Its gonna do a nose dive.

not always.. and the reason I say that is put a pointy on it.. its going up.. which bumper you run matters.. cause Cory got a monte bumper that when down.. you put that on any car its hitting dirt
its all up to how you set the car up.. like I said before the best way is too.. max the front out..
but if you run the back on the ground.. it can hurt the front too.. thats why I've seen them tilted.. but thats the only reason I'd tilt one
but if you get them right they are predictable.. if you fix the front body mount forward/ hardnosing it.. there giving at the firewall
