Got a chance to get a 77 bird, This might be a crazy question but how do you think one of these will hold up in a ProMod class with crown Victoria’s? Fully built I’m talking

Pretty sure anything in a pro mod class would be fine. Doesn’t really matter what you start with as long as you keep the welder going and do anything you want to it. Depends what promod means around your area. Around us it means do what you want.

Around here the rules aren’t very strict they allow shortening a frame front and back plating a frame, tilting pretty much full frame and body weld no plating or adding metal to the exterior body except for around the doors and good/truck.. just want to do something diff then a crown Vic or town car. I guess the rules are like mod rules

Ran one of these cars last night and I gotta say the firewall to the torque rod crossmember did well, but the frames too thin (size wise) it bent straight up with 4x4 1/8th plates and I beam shocks. The back was a shit show to start so no opinion there. But rewelded bottom seams and 12x6 1/8th hump plates it did ok with a big single notch

anyone know the steering knuckle spline count and size for a 77-79 Thunderbird? Ran across a cheap pre-run too good to pass up but it needs a steering column (which I have but it's set up for 70's GM's). Is it a 36 spline 3/4" knuckle? That's the closest thing I have been able to find researching it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! Also, I've searched all over this site for a wiring diagram for the 400 Ford engines without any luck. Can someone point me in the right direction? The car I've got is a pre-run with all the toggles and wiring (I'm guessing at least) but I want to replace the old corroded wiring and toggles with new and make sure everything is correct. If I had more time I'd engine swap it.
