Dare i say It,s simpel.use a piece of 1/2 inch black iorn pipe.Cut it 4 inches long slip it into stock chevy car mount. not van to tall.Set into place .Weld black iorn to crossmember?? If you use short shaft chevy trans, whith singel stud mount. Will set in center whole in stock cross member don,t have to move it.Perfect alinement. Can use stock ford drive shaft if use,ing ford rearend.Change universal useing basterd u joint so you can use chevy drive shaft yoke won,t even have to cut drive shaft It,s easer to explain power stering pm me if enterested

Any advice would be nice thanks They are way different you can weld a piece of plate to the front cradle and weld chevy lowers to that, that's about the easiest way. When I did mine had to notch for the fuel pump.

will the steering or anything get into the way. We just put a chevy engine in a '63 galaxy and it was kind of pain in the butt and the mounts wound up breaking and shifting the engine over

Can tip weld firewall forward can run proctecter Seeing as you didnt mention kickers of any kind...it would be better to run the dp with the firewall and only remove what portion of the tunnel and firewall your application would require. also make sure that if it starts nosing your dist. cap cant hit the firewall. the firewall should act as a kicker sort of in slowing the nosing process down

Before I ask my question let me preface that I have to use the stock lower mounts per rules.
I have never used the stock Ford lowers before, always used Chevy lowers welded in (can't weld mounts) or aftermarket (can't use aftermarket). I'm putting my sbc 350 in a 91 box vic. I am allowed to use my engine cradle. I know the lowers fit inside the cradle. What I don't know is about alignment. I've heard one side is slightly off forward or backward for chevy uppers to fit properly. Secondly, should I run the stock ford crossmember or a chevy one as I can't weld it either and must bolt it in within 2" of the original location. Thanks. I'm treading in unfamiliar waters here. Lol
