I was told that I can just keep the chevy uppers and they will fit right on to the ford lowers that are already on the frame and all I have to do is lower right in on top of the ford lowers. This isn't working at all for me I have spent about 3 hours trying to get this to work... The car is a 90 or 91 box crown vic. What am I doing wrong? You can make it work doing what you have described but it won't be a perfect fit. Usually with the driver side mount you will be able to get the bolt directly into the lower mount but the passenger side won't end up lining up with the hole. You will have to put the bolt through the gap of the outter shell of the (lower) mount and the center rubber piece. I would suggest cutting the lower mounts loose, bolt them onto the uppers and then just weld them back to the frame where ever you want them.

the hump on the passenger of the cradle for the ford mount can be cut so you can take a plate to put over it and weld it to the frame. the set your motor in to position with the upper and lower mounts bolted to it. when you have it in place you just weld the lowers mounts to the cradle and away you go. best way i have done it over the years

weld the lines together. Some dodge van has what you need, but I don't know which one right off hand.

New motor mount that sits flat on the passenger side of the frame for 80 and newer fords: Instead of this: $80 for a pair shipped to your door.
