i have a 400 sbc that i would like to get into my ford cars.. i dont really wanna spend alot of money on a cradle or but some mounts...i was wondering if there is a cheap and easy way to do this? ;D

You could make solid mounts but i would suggest investing in a cradle. It will save the ears on your block. JMO

well who sells good cradles for cheap? ;D i also got a tip from a friend that you can just get sbc mounts and weld them onto the ford cradle and that would work good to..but i dont think i wanna take that road beings im not a good welder.

you take a couple plates as wide as your motor mounts and weld them to the frame and set your chevy engine with mounts on the plates.. if you do it rite you can also use the stock ford crossmember.. cheap and easy

Use the stock block clam mounts and use the stock Ford frame mounts off a box style car grind the tabs off the spot where the clam mounts will not go over the Ford mounts. Weld the frame mount on both ends where the rivets are then loosely mount them to the motor and set it in the car and weld it in and pull motor back out and weld the shit out it cheap and easy way to mount Chevy motor in fords.

Puts the mounts on the motor and drop the motor in place and start welding.

A cheap way is to go buy some chevy mounts lower might and weld them to the frame then u can use your chevy mounts on the motor
