I’m just starting out in doing full size cars I bought an 88 Lincoln town car I was hoping to get some tips on how to set up the rear end of car and front end no one in my family messes with their frames I didn’t know if I should shorten the frame or not I’m running fair class light weld. Full cradle allowed if no cradle 2x2 kickers down from cage bar to frame. Can weld frame seams from cross member forward cage goes from 6in behind firewall to 6in behind body mounts in rear seat area allowed rear window bar from halo allowed one bar up to 4ins on trunk deck can shorten frames Dimple only up 1/2in notch allowed gas tank protector can run to package tray 30ins wide can run up to roof 22in hump plates if I don’t run leafs can weld a arms down but only 2 straps per side and unlimited wire also can change all body mounts to 1in all thread and can add 4 extra mounts what would be the best way to go about building to these rules so no full cradle??? like stated. Then kicker your kickers and do everything you said

Running my first 80s bone stock, got a 95 vic. I known swapping to the 80s stuff is best but i also read it's not needed. I plan to run a set if 5.50s on small center wheels with working suspension and aftermarket tie rods on stock stuff unless I'm going to have issues for sure. Down bars need to be right on the box gusset? Or do they need to be moved a little. Front will be hard nosed with a plate bracket, rear simple dimple tuck. Bolted in 327 no cradle and no protectors or other frame welding humps can be shaped a little I'm doing this same build myself for my first 90s vic. It was supposed to be for this summer but Covid..... Anyway I plan on welding a strap over my arms so they are down. I've heard you want to swap a arms and spindles for older box vic or GM ones. The upper cast a arms are supposed to be junk. Also I guess if you don't run power steering your supposed to change the steering box as they will break. The down bar question I don't know.

wishbone style uppers will work. If welded down then make sure and weld a strap on each side of the BJ. otherwise it will bend and twist. Agree stamped stuff is better but have had good luck with factory stuff.
Down bars to frame is what your asking?
Yes PS a must with ford boxes...

Yeah pretty much put them so the frame doesn't dump under the floors?

how big of bar you get? if you can have a 2 or 3x6 or more then catch as much of the side rail and some of the box too if ya can. cut it so i kinda wraps onto the frame.

Can I get some options on hooking sbc ps pump to a 90 Lincoln town car please and Thankyou if its not a 97 go to the parts store and get a 94 ford power steering line. It will go into the pump and box. It is a little goofy cause of the bends in the line but it works...
