At the box being that you have to have stock body bolts and rubbers then you won't have to mess with them...

Opinions on wedging or tucking the trunk ? Depends on rules. But a simple tuck and dimple work great for stock class.

If I've read right you tuck where you dimple ? I like big dimple at end of bumper shock and a smaller one about where the tuck would be. That’s if I tuck....

90 Lincoln town car . Allowed hump plates and 1 1/4 rod from frame through trunk lid that is fully seam welded . Not allowed to wedge. I’m only allowed to V or canoe 6”. Should I tuck? Or what other options do I have ?

Or what other options do I have ? My opinion with a hump plate you dont have much reason to tuck. Run rod right in front of your second dimple, first dimple after bumper shock, 2nd dimple 8ish inches in front of it, rod after that. With a hump plate you shouldnt really have a dumping issue, and as long as your dimples are deep enough the frame rail should go up and take the sheet metal with it.

Got a 87 crown vic ltd. First derby. Any tips for the car or for myself? Any helps appreciated Do away with the fuel shut off in the driver side of the trunk. It’s up by the lid hinge. Cut the wires twist them together tape them up. An go have fun. Do t worry about a trophy for a pay check. Stay safe have fun and send it. Too many new people want to build a car like a freight train. Just remember the (KISS) theory. Keep It Simple Stupid. Have fun Yeah I ran my first derby but front end was way too low, took me out pretty quick. Going to pull the 302 out and drop a 350 in it but need to figure out how to raise the front end and stay in the rules.
