Id personally put a slight point(74-76 gm) or new yorker flats. I'm for the damage a pointy can do except I'm not for the leverage it puts on the frame. I still have yet to see a beak give up before the frame does but would love to see photos if you have?

Think I should run it again like tht , I don't think there would be strengh there anymore , all the pressure would be on the shocks n frame

in my experience any bumper, pointy or not, eventually ends up flattened against the beam. I've had subs that went through 3 or 4 bumpers and the sub was still usable. I personally think the pointys work better on full frame Imps, dobas, and shockers (with certain build strategies) while I like flat bumpers on the hardnose Imps. That has a lot to do with my competitive circumstances and preferences, yours may be different.

I always ran a 74 impala bumper once the back collapsed and the corners wrapped to the ears the bumper just stayed on the sub till it was trashed then it sold lol

It has a point but not THE POINT. I do like them Monaco bumpers capped with 3/8 plate seams to be just enough to hold the hole straight and let the bumper move if it needs to
