I've always found the stock steering components on Chrysler cars to be quite robust

Allows a lot of movement if needed but won't pull apart.

My first Mopar steering column set up, as usual I had to use an Astro van slider/u-joint set up. I have used them for years on Vics. I cut the stock Mopar joint in half and welded the Astro van shaft to it. I had to grind some on the Astro joint to make it fit and cleaning out all the 40 year old grease out of the Mopar joint was fun.

Was just wondering if there was anything I could reinforce besides ball joints/tie rods.

I just picked up my 1st Mopar after 24 years of running GM's. Unfortunately, the steering gear box and center link are missing from the car. The car is a 71 Chrysler 300. Can anyone tell me what boxes and center link will interchange with this car?? Any help would be appreciated..
