So I got bored last night and decided to start reading this thread and the smb thread to. What's better? you really can't go wrong either way. I run both and the only criteria I use for selecting an engine when building a car is (A) which engines do I have loose and ready to go in a car and (B) if I have both a big and a small block available to choose from, I choose the one that will fit easier in the car I'm building. Other than that I don't care, I would choose either over a sbc any day.

So I got bored last night and decided to start reading this thread and the smb thread to. What's better? There seems to be more sbm at a reasonable price to buy. But the bbm there is only like 5 in my surrounding area on craigslist, I've searched up to 150 miles, at a decent price...under $500. I'm wondering bc I'm thinking about trying to build up a motor and after reading this thread who wants to build a sbc lol ;D You should go with a sbm, because I know a guy who has one already , and then you have money for a trans, headers, etc. for a team show. ;D

little dilemma here....taking frost plugs out and one of them slipped off into oblivion. anyone have any solutions to getting it out of the block? will it damage the sleeve or restrict water flow if i just leave it in there? thanks

I'm looking to get another mini starter for my bbm...I can't remember what year and truck to ask for at the parts store that takes these starters. Something like a 92 Dakota if I remember correctly?

My motor in my 69 newport was/is stuck. I have had diesel in my 383 for almost a week now and still can't get the motor to break loose, any other hints? When I first tried it, it moved just a little bit and stopped. I was thinking of trying PB next, any thoghts?

Who knows how long it sat before I got it. But anyway, just keep working it back and forth it will eventually break loose unless you have something really wrong.

Your picture distracted me...LOL ;D Just kidding. I appreciate the help guys. This one has been parked in a barn since 91. I plan on throwing some marvel in it tonight when I get home. Hope fully will break loose soon.

make new mounts that bolt to the water pump holes, front cover holes, holes in the ends of the cyl heads, exhaust flanges, stuff like that
