I got a '67 T/C wagon on trade, but the down side is it has no rear gate. What are the thoughts on running it with no gate in a limited weld show? If its a absolute no no, then I've heard that a gate off of a mid sized Bronco 2 will "kind of fit" and I'd weld that in.

I have cut down many different truck tailgates to fit old truck boxes, and never had any issues. I would think a car would be the same

Yeah Rob, the back is my concern since I know how to make the front strong (with or without the Imp sub) and I was curious about the gate, but I'll figure that out.

my opinion is to use the wimpy bumper on these. Even though the 66 is one of the better Mopar wagons, I don't like the results of a hard bumper on the back in anything short of an outlaw type build. Chaining the humps is helpful in counteracting the natural tendency of these to stay straight in the roof and pinch the humps but it doesn't put it so far out ahead that you can start adding strength at the end of the frame. Humps (& frame design period) are a major weakness in these cars, they need all the help they can get.

Would putting the leaf springs on top of the axle be a dumb idea on a 73 plymouth? Its a limited weld with humps chained, and wire in the windows. Its got one short run on it and the ass seems likes its headed for the ground.
