We have wrecked several of 64-66s and a few 67-73s. The steering was our down fall. We tried running them with bone stock steering. Junk the stock crap and build your own. Gear it up and let er eat!!!

What part of the steering? The actual column or? I will have a home made steering column with a slider. The rag joint on the stock steering is the major problem. Yeah I never run those on any car, I use a home made column. These will be mild weld cars.

Shaft pulls right out if ya yank on the wheel hard enough, if the column is loose. Aftermarket is only way to go

62 and 63 have spot welded body panels that need to be fully welded but aside from sheet metal its the same as 64-66 imperial. Good car absolutely but absolutely less desirable because of the amount of body work to do
