My buddy Ethan Thomas #338, 74 caddy with a pointy, big block mopar, dp, cradle w/ pp, jw ultra bell, 8 3/4" with 4.56s. Won a very rough heat, took second in the main and got most aggressive driver. welded in front of the A arms only.

^^^^^^^^^^ Bent at the holes in front of the a-arms I presume? no it stayed dead straight there, we used about 8" of chrysler shocks and bent right behind them, it went real well for our first caddy build but we learned alot...

I remember someone saying it would bend like that when they were dropping off its older brother and ugly cousin hahaha

flatter bumper would probably change that outcome....pointy is like a big crowbar at the end of the frame

True story right there^^^^
I can say that I ran a 74 earlier this year without anything significant done in front of the a-arms, it did have a pointy on it, and it bent at the firewall and was perfectly straight in front of the a-arms. I fully expected it to go at the bend in the frame up front or at the holes in front of the a-arms and it didn't. It was a "stock" build though, no protectors so the firewall was cut out.

all depends on how much you tilt it.

flatter bumper would probably change that outcome....pointy is like a big crowbar at the end of the frame when you drive like him and its complete offense then the pointy is worth the extra leverage...
