In my experience, the 350 trans will take more heat and less abuse, whereas a 400 will take everything you can give it for a long time but you have to keep it cooler.

cdakan841- might be a dumb question but did you have trans fluid in it. i have a few buddies that run them with no issues. turbo 350 or 400 is a far better trans. jmo

quick question, i am running a th-350 tranny, and i shift it into reverse and it goes forward, i put it where nuetral should be and it goes forward, and all other gears go forward except park, i am shifting by hand, and dont have the shifter hooked up, what could be the problem? it sounds like you are just backwards. I have people do it before. if you put the link on the shift shaft upside down the pattern will be backwards.

Solved an issue with one of my motor set ups , for some reason the starter on my 010 chevy block motor would always end up binding , seem to hit the bop400 trans had to grind some of the casting off , maybe over casting ?

No time for screw in dipsticks or anything, just buttoning everything up and topping it off, Bought a 700r4 that was missing the dipstick. I have a dipstick from a 375 I threw in there, my question is, what is the difference in fluid capacity? will it read too much when really its a qt low or just right?

A lot. It will need a stand alone computer to regulate line pressure or you're going nowhere fast

Will a converter out of a turbo 350 fit in a bop400 and work right?
