So I'm doing up a BIA rear diff and I'm not running rear as they where falling apart. Should I leave the drums on it pull them off? I figure if I leave them its just more weight/stress on the axle. But also think they may help stop some deflection on the axle/rim when they get hit.

Put it back together and run rear brakes. You won’t regret it

I always regret running rear brakes when they blow apart and lock shit up or blow the wheel cylinder and then have no brakes. Disc brakes are alot more reliable.
But anyway I managed to brake the cast in upper mount off the diff, anyone ever manage to fix this and have it hold?

I run both front and backs and love it... but I totally rebuilt the drum brakes when I built this rearend... And I don’t think I’d trust welding an ear back on without some bracing

Cut the other ear off and weld a truss across the top and mount the arms to the truss.

Trying to measure a housing for new axles because I don't have the original axles that came out of it.... I read online that you can get the axle lengths by going from the end of the housing to the center of the pinion and adding each of them together will give the overall width of the axle housing... Which makes sense to me... I measured my passenger side axle to be 29 1/4 inch and the driver's side at 30 and 3/8 inch... Does this seem right for them to be slightly different lengths? Thanks.

What spline shafts are you going with. If you are running 33 or 35s you can just call postal mopar and they will send you the correct length shafts for your 10 bolt.

I've got a 14 bolt ff out of a 93 3/4 ton. Is there any way to clear 15s with the drums on?

I was curious if anyone had a go to resource online to look up what rearends were in a car before buying. I'm picking up a 1979 Buick Electra limited and don't what what would be under there. Anyone know or have a resource where I can look it up? Thanks!!

Would it be safe to assume c clip 10 bolt under a 90s roadmaster wagon? 5x5 bolt pattern
