I believe I read where some of the bubble Caprice sedans are actually 5x5 pattern. Best answer is to measure.
5x5 is big 5x4.75 is small

You are correct, Bryan. Now that I think about it, the bubble style was not until 1992, right?

You are correct, Bryan. Now that I think about it, the bubble style was not until 1992, right? I think you're right on that, but I've seen a 90 Caprice the other that was a bubble, it looked a Buick Roadmaster. I think it all depends on which options the car had, like they really matter.

Came up with an idea today while sitting in class haha.
What if, you took the body off the frame, titled the frame like a vic, but put the back close to 15" off the ground, one large 5" long notch right behind the hump, and bent it at like a 15 degree angle. Than with the body, take the trunk lid off. Than take your torches and cut half way down the body where the rear pillar is, right before the speaker deck, but on the side. Do this to both sides. Than cut a 1" channel out of the middle, and cut the taillight valence out on the sides where it meets the quarter. Beat that part down, than beat the both the sides down so the room from the trunk floor to the metal you beat down would be about 10" apart. Than flatten the back part of the trunk where the key hole is and weld that on there. Than you can finally bend the rear of the body.
You're probably wondering what to do about the body mounts, just run them up through the frame and on top of the metal.
And that's about all I came up with. Would that work? Or is it just not possible, or?

Here is somewhat what I'm trying to say, cut where all the blue is. (But obviously the trunk isn't on.) Beat it until it's where the green is, weld the lid back on, and raise hell.

Ehh, more of a tip to the car, and have the frame rails along with the body go up. I think I'm going to try out this idea on a Caprice we have.

I'm sorry sceard, but unless you do something to that caddy its going to blow the humps and/or plow. TripleM, I would tilt it like you're talking about, but I'm not sure I'd cut down the middle of the trunk pan like you're talking about, I think the frame rails would come up seperatly and bend really odd. Then again, its something new...could work.
