Will a mp1002 upper ball joint be a direct replacement on these? Also will the spindle be a direct fit on a ford lower ball joint? I have a set of metric gm a arms and spindles to put on a ford. Thanks I would run the Ford spindles before I ran a metric GM spindle personally. I leave the metrics on all mine that I run, but I have broke a couple. They arent that tough. Ford is a lot tougher.

I have a 1988 Chevy Caprice. What coil springs will fit to get height I need (21 inches max). Not allowed to notch or dimple frame. Planning on using a good front bumper and driving forward all night.

Planning on using a good front bumper and driving forward all night. Your coil springs are only going to gain you so much height before you max out the shocks. In my opinion, its not so much about height, but stiffness. I want the frame to give at the notch when I hit with the rear. A lot of times when you run working suspension, it gives before the frame does. I do not run my rear bumper that high but I am allowed to pre bend. You will need to run a 700-15 rear tire, and probably a good set of front springs to get the height you are wanting.

Btw car185 is that you tyler?

Even when you stuff the shocks, they will still only pull apart so far, and normally the springs I run are taller than the shock allows play. I normally have to suck the ass end down just to get the shocks hooked up. I run Ford F 150 front springs in the rear of mine.

Has anyone ever messed with a 78 Buick 225 limited? Just picked one up the other day and I’m running a decent home town show here. Can hard nose bumper or run shocks can change body mounts but can’t be bigger than 5/8 and must have an inch gap between frame and body. No tilt four point cage is allowed must be 5 inches from dash tank protector allowed must be 5 inches from sheet metal any oem bumper stock trans cross member but any drive train must run a 5 lug rear also. No added body mounts but can shorten the frame any pics/tips would be great!

I have a 79 caprice Landau 2 door. I'm allowed to plate the rear hump and notch or bend frame where is the best point to notch or bend frame so it rolls up nicely. Also can leaf spring it but been told it's a pain. Also any other tips in general for this car? Also has been raced ish once. Had tranny issues and took 1 good hit on front drivers corner. The welded sway bay saved a whole lot of damage on that side. Although it broke the sway bar it did its job. I was way under built for that derby since it was my first derby car. I want to bring it back much better then it was before. Any tips are appreciated
