I browsed through but didn't see anything. Has anyone ever used the rear stub off a Vic or anything else on one of these? I have one the rear rails are rotted and wanted to make to rear a little more predictable. I have no idea but Id love to see pictures if you do it.

In all honesty I run mild weld classes with a few allowing leaf conversions. So I don't think it will be hard to get through. Its been a few years since I've built a metric gm and never measured the width. If its close I can make it work. I will be sure to post some pictures when I do it. This car is down a few on the list. Just collecting some ideas.

I read one time that a 73-77 midsized GM belly rails are only about a 1/2" wider but Ive never measured one personally. I think I would try that before a Ford, but if you have the Ford laying there, then what the hell!

Trunk we tuck bout 60 percent. Then quaters around an weld then to trunk an floor. The frame angles downward. That's where our first notch is an then right at bottom of arch. We only cut out the top of frame then hammer in the sides this helps it roll an stop around a 90 degree angle. An put pressure on the one at bottom of the arch which is a lot smaller notch this is we do cut sides of frame just a little. I'll try to get pic sent to you through pm of what I'm talking about. Could you pm pics? Of begin/after?

How hard would it be to put a box ford clip on a metric Buick? Anybody done it before?

I haven't but I seen a box gm nose on a box Ford once. I think it matters more what your rules are. If you are allowed to weld everything Im sure it would be fine. As far as a direct swap as in all the bolts lining up. No way in hell.

Seems like it has been forever since I have ran old iron spindles on a metric, I know the upper ball joints are the same between metric and old iron, but I think the lower ball joint is smaller on the metric? Can anyone confirm that? I had an idea that I would put old iron lower ball joints in the metric lower a arms if it was possible.

If I remember correctly the old iron uses the same taper as fords for the lower. Speedway sells a ballpoint to use the old iron spindles on metric a arms.

See, I don't ever remember changing anything on the lowers before. I think I just ran the spindles on the stock ball joints as they are. I think they fit kind of loose though. I don't want to that for the show I am running though.

Will a mp1002 upper ball joint be a direct replacement on these? Also will the spindle be a direct fit on a ford lower ball joint? I have a set of metric gm a arms and spindles to put on a ford. Thanks
